New children’s groups for a hundred small children will be created in Prague 5 and Prague 6 – Novinykraje.cz
PRAGUE – the main place for children from Prague 5 From June 6, their parents can put their parents in the care of new children’s groups. Prague councilors agreed to provide three million crowns for their establishment. Prague press spokesman Vít Hofman informed about the news.
Four children’s groups will be created, which will offer a total of 42 new places. Because some parents use the facility only partially, for example only in the morning, or, conversely, only in the afternoon or only some days of the week, they will be able to replace more children in most places.
“More than half of the newly created places are intended for children aged one to three who cannot yet be admitted to kindergarten, or for them, in the case of children older than two, there is usually no space left. Even parents who have not yet had this opportunity will be able to return to work. I simply need to create the conditions so that even the parents of the youngest children have the opportunity to use the best and quality service and thus better reconcile their work and family life, “said the mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates).

The first three children’s groups formed in the MAM family center in Košíře, Prague. The center now runs one group for 12 children. Thanks to modifications in the building, which include the kitchen, living rooms, changing rooms and sanitary facilities, space will be created in the building for three more groups. Each can accommodate six children, with two groups for children under three. Among other things, the low number of children of age will allow children with disabilities or children of foreigners to visit.
The fourth children’s group will operate in the building of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Charles University in Veleslavín, Prague. Thanks to the reconstruction, it will offer facilities for about 50 children, half of whom will be under three years old. “In addition to safe care and the development of all-round skills and abilities of children, this group will focus on physical activities above standard,” adds councilor for education and leisure Vít Šimral (Pirates).
