International chefs open restaurant Nela in Valley Amsterdam
Pure gastronomy
The menu reflects honest origins that come to life through open fires and modern cooking techniques. Chefs Hari Shetty and Ori Geller: “We opted for live fire cooking because this craftsmanship does not lose the integrity of the food.” The result: integrity in structure, taste and presentation. Thanks to the chef’s procedure, pure dishes are not only extremely titillating and tasteful, but modern and surprising.
Shared dining dishes
With the shared-dining principle, the aim is that everyone feels welcome at Nela. The extensive menu offers something for everyone. Also some à la carte options for, for example, a business lunch. The restaurant features a high-end cocktail bar where the evening can continue with classic and own surprising cocktail creations.
‘Our fascination for honest products, excellent design excellence and skills beyond the kitchen’
Pure design
Fire also forms the basis of Nela’s design. After all, all manufactured parts, from the glassware to the raw materials, need this element in its manufacture. In terms of interior, it is an oasis of light with natural colors and materials such as wood, metal and stone in their purest form. Nela also uses handmade objects and art from local talent. Shetty and Geller: “Our fascination for honest products, excellent quality design and craftsmanship goes beyond the kitchen. It is the basis of all our choices, including in the field of design and creative partnerships.”
