“Working towards a bright future for retail”
Concrete was founded in 2004 by Tristan Rogers and is a mobile-first platform for employee engagement and task management that enables brands to engage their store employees, streamline store operations and increase the flow of communication between teams.
With a set of features to cover all processes in the store, from approval of visual goods to product recalls, Concrete claims that they deliver brands a revenue increase of 3 to 5 percent at the store level, while staff turnover is reduced by 50 percent.
Concrete says that the platform is used in more than 160 countries by more than 100 brands. Calvin Klein, Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Tory Burch and Superdry are among many global retailers that the company already serves.
Tristan Rogers says, “Quinyx and Concrete are on a mission to solve two of today’s most pressing retail problems; staffing and customer expectations. Bringing our technologies together is a natural step, and the synergies between human resource management, task management, store operations and field communication are significant. Quinyx is located “The powerful combination of our technology and talent will improve our customers’ operations and improve the lives of their front-line workers.”
The purpose of this acquisition
Quinyx AI-powered workforce management software enables organizations to automate, optimize and streamline their work processes, while empowering and engaging their employees. The platform also claims that it helps its customers, such as McDonald’s, Sysco, Domino’s, Maersk, IHG and DHL, to dramatically improve productivity, drive business results and improve employee experience.
With the acquisition of Concrete, Quinyx will enable organizations to digitally connect field managers, frontline workers and headquarters to deliver “meaningful” benefits for store performance, part-time flexibility and commitment. Quinyx believes that this will ultimately bridge the gap between task execution, forecasting and scheduling.
Erik Fjellborg, founder of Quinyx, says: “Concrete is a long-term partner for us. And we are big fans of their product, their ethos and the way Tristan and his team do in their business. From top to bottom, Concrete has built an employee-centered culture that “They have a reputation for doing the right thing for the right reasons and keeping their promises – a big reason why they fit Quinyx perfectly.”
Concrete will remain its own unit within Quinyx. Founder Tristan Rogers will remain Concrete’s CEO, sharing Quinyx’s vision and mission to grow both brands under the Quinyx umbrella, while delivering solutions for frontline workers.
An AI-driven platform for managing manpower
Quinyx was founded in 2005 by Erik Fjellborg when he worked at McDonald’s. After seeing how difficult it was for managers to sort shifts manually, Fjellborg created Quinyx, a software for personnel management, which “radically” improved the industry.
McDonald’s loved Fjellborg’s solution and became Quinyx’s first customer. At present, the company has more than 1000 companies as its customers.
Quinyx is a cloud-based workforce management software that is the first with mobile and simplifies scheduling, time reporting, communication, task management, budgeting and forecasting. The company claims that it helps organizations stay compatible, improve efficiency, reduce labor costs and engage employees through advanced and flexible features.
Quinyx has offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands. Its software has also been implemented globally in markets and regions such as Europe, North America, China, Japan and Korea.
By October 2020, Quinyx had acquired Amsterdam-based Widget Brain, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to automate and optimize staff scheduling. The acquisition helped Quinyx automate its work optimization process through Widget Brain’s AI-powered technology.
