Crimea, Drugs | Released from prison in Denmark – wanted to secure enough drugs
It was in October 2019 that the police discovered cannabis, amphetamines and pills at the man’s home in his home in Skien.
The man had just served a three-year sentence he had received in Denmark. There he had been taken with a large batch of amphetamine which he had picked up in Germany in 2017.

Drugs
When he was released after serving his sentence, he wanted to ensure that he had enough drugs for himself for a long period of time, he claimed when the trial went against him in Telemark District Court a short time ago.
At the man’s home, police found around 330 grams of cannabis, 75 grams of amphetamine and 1,400 sedative pills.
In the judgment, the court points out that they can neither confirm nor deny whether the drug was for their own use, or whether it was intended to be sold on to others.
When the man was taken with amphetamine in Denmark, the explanation was also that the drug was intended for his own use.

Did not stop
In August 2020, the man was again in the police spotlight. Then he drove a car under the influence of drugs on Gulset in Skien.
When the police turned on the blue light and signaled that he should stop, the man gave the bluff.
When the man finally stopped the car, and the police had him and the car searched, it turned out that he had a signal pistol with him.
In April last year, the man must also have driven in the 130 in the 80 zone on the E18 at Porsgrunn.
When he appeared in court, he denied driving at high speed, but pleaded guilty to drugs.
In the end, the record for speed was dropped.

Drug treatment
It has taken a long time before the trial against the 38-year-old came up, which is a violation of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). This led to reduced penalties for the skier.
During the trial, it was revealed that the man will now receive treatment for his drug abuse, which he explained started already in his teens.
He was thus punished on terms of drug treatment.
The sentence ended with months of conditional imprisonment with conditions that he completes the drug treatment without a newspaper.
The 38-year-old also lost his driver’s license for a period of two and a half years.
