Right next to Tivoli in Copenhagen is Denmark’s first microbrewery, Apollo Brewerywhich opened in 1990.
A year earlier, the brewery was bought from East Germany, and built on the model of German beer cellars. Today, the large brewing kettle forms the shiny center of the associated restaurant.
Here you can enjoy the bubbly atmosphere and the solid home-cooked dishes that are tailored to beer. Perfect end to a visit to Tivoli, right?
Brewery Skovlyst, Værløse
In the middle of the idyllic Hareskoven by Værløse is located Brewery Skovlyst. The small island brewery also has its own restaurant, and local ingredients from the forest play a central role in both beer brewing and cooking.

In a historic apartment building in Denmark’s oldest town is the local beer brewery, Ribe Brewery.
The location right next to the majestic Ribe Cathedral from the year 948 creates a unique atmosphere, and the brewing process itself does not take place without historical buzz.

This is not only Denmark’s smallest brewery, but it is perhaps also the most unique. It is the only leisure brewery in all of Scandinavia.
With the help of a special lifting mechanism, you move over several levels – completely without the use of pumps. This is really worth experiencing (and tasting).
Samsø Bryghus, Samsø
Samsø Brewery brewed – as the name quite clearly suggests – on the beautiful island of Samsø.
The local brewery is idyllically located on an old farm, and the beer is brewed to this day in two converted milk tanks. The types of beer are named after local attractions, but Samsø Brewery offers more than just beer.
Here you can enjoy both home-made with the layer of organic ingredients from the farm, and handle local delicacies in the well-stocked farm shop.
Bryghuset Møn, Stege
