3 ideas for unusual night outings in Belgium
Belgian nightlife is best known for its bars, restaurants, concerts and festivals until the wee hours of the night. However, there are a whole host of other fun activities – and generally reserved for daytime visits – to discover at night! We show you.
The video of the day :
1. An underground escape game
“Brussels, 1521, while a party is in full swing at the palace, an important character dies in strange circumstances”, thus begins the chilling scenario of the new immersive investigation that has just started at Tour & Taxi. Visitors are immersed in the subterranean places to gather the puzzles and solve the criminal mystery in an “escape game” way. Building on its previous edition in the Train World Museum, Murder Mystery returns to terrify us and make us think through a chilling new scenario. To be tested alone or in a group!
Where ? From April 2. Every Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. or 6 p.m.
When ? The basements of the Sheds of Tour & Taxis (86C avenue du Port, 1000 Brussels)

2. A torchlight visit
Armed with your torch, you roam the corridors and dungeons of the Bouillon fortified castle like a true knight of the Middle Ages. A real link from 1,000 years in the past. The must ? The Austrian Tower at the end of the visit which offers a sublime 360° view of Bouillon. It’s the perfect experience for history fans or who are simply looking for an unusual experience to change from cinema-restaurant outings.
Where ? At the castle of Bouillon. 1 esplanade Godefroy, 6830 Bouillon
When ? April 11, 12 and 14, 2022. Start of the visit in front of the castle entrance at 6.30 p.m.
For more info, visit chateaufortdebouillon.ellohaweb.com. Mandatory reservation.
3. A nocturnal tree climbing
What’s better than a tree climbing? A tree climbing in the middle of the forest during the night of course, for double sensations. For the occasion, you will be equipped with a headlamp to challenge yourself to cross the various workshops and zip lines in the dark. In the program ? Skateboards, suspended logs, trapeze, rope bridge, tightrope walker, barrels… One thing is certain, you should hold on tight!
Where ? At the Quai 79 leisure park. 79 rue de la Hamaide, 7333 Saint-Ghislain
When ? Fridays April 15 and 29, May 13 and 27.
