Sugar Mizzy April 7, 2022

Last weekend It was held at Multieventi Ieighth edition ofSan Marino International Openinternational competition of karate impeccably organized by the San Marino Martial Arts Federation together with the Italian federations Figilkam And Csen.

About 600 karateka at the startfrom all over Italy, as well as a delegation arriving from France.
Saturday was entirely dedicated to kumitè (combat), while the Katà (forms) competitions were held on Sunday.

The white-blue delegation, made up of eight young promises (seven athletes under 16) selected from Isshinryu and Shotokan clubs.

The first to get on the tatami, in the Kumite Senior – 60 Kg category was Michele Callini who, engaged in an Italian round, at the end of the pool closed with an honorable third post.

After Callini it was the turn of a young promise of San Marino karate, Michele Santi, committed in the Juniors -76K category. After the defeat suffered against the one who will then win the tournament, the blue-white athlete was repeated to play for the bronze medal. Won the first round with a precise soccer technique to the face and drew the second fight 0-0, Santi went out at Hantei (refereeing majority judgment), closing the tournament in 5th place.

The third to compete in the Juniors -61Kg category was Luca Vincenti. A lucky draw immediately led him to the second round, where he clearly imposed himself on the opponent by 5 to 0; in the next round he then went out. Fished out he wins the match 1 to 0 and puts the bronze medal around his neck.

It was then to go down on the tatami David Forcellini in the Cadet Category -63Kg. After two minutes the match ends at 0 to 0 and is won by David at Hantei; in the following match another no holds barred battle and another decision at Hantei saw David lose and exit in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

In the afternoon, in the Cadet category -47 kg, it was the turn of the aggressive Rebecca Gaidella. After winning the first match with a precise punch technique, he had to clash with the athlete who will then win the tournament, coming out defeated despite the good performance. At the repechage for the bronze medal he loses the match in the final seconds and closes the tournament in 5th place.

The last to compete were the debuts Enrico Luis Casadei And Milo Camoralirespectively in the Under14, -45Kg and Under14, -50Kg categories.

Despite the emotion they both performed well. Starting from the round of 16, Enrico, after having finished his match in a draw 0 to 0, lost to Hantei. At the repechage for the bronze medal, he had a real battle, but his desire to win led him to be eliminated by the sum of yellow cards.

Departure from the second round also for Milo, who closes the competitive day with an excellent performance. After coming in advantage range with a precise punch technique, he must forfeit the match after suffering a harsh technique in will from his opponent.

Sunday to get on the tatami was Denis Bertozzi, engaged in the numerous category kata (forms) Juniors. After two excellent races, the white-blue athlete finished in 9th place overall.

Satisfied with the good performance of their kids coaches Alessandro Mularoni and Emanuel Santolini.
