30km/h in Sennecey-lès-Dijon: how do the inhabitants react?
No more driving above 30km/h in Sennecey-lès-Dijon: Since April 1, 2022, the town hall has had signs installed throughout the town to limit the speed of vehicles. Only the two roads managed by the metropolis remain limited to 50km / h. These are metropolitan routes 122 and 905, which allow you to cross the city. What do the locals think?
Residents relieved
This is not the first attempt at slowing down by the town hall: speed bumps and chicanes were already in place. This is not enough according to Marie, a resident: “In my street people always drive too fast, while there are children, animals. I think it’s a good initiative”.
Sylvain confirms: he grew up in Sennecey-lès-Dijon. Today, he comes regularly to see his parents who live there: “A cat or a child can appear at any time, and when you think of the distance it takes to stop at 30km/h, you think that’s enough.”
An abusive measure?
There are also those for whom it is too much: “In some streets, there is more visibility, we could drive at 40km/h. It even becomes dangerous to drive so slowly”, believes Liliane, a resident. Anne herself, believes that it will not be enough to slow down those who are already going too fast : “I would have preferred more speed bumps”.
