“Vienna …! Vienna …! “Back to Morlacchi – Chronicle
There is great expectation at the Morlacchi Theater for the return of the concert “Vienna…! Vienna …! “, Staged today at 5.30 pm, initiated by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Perugia, in collaboration with Agimus. There are two innovations with respect to the tradition that over time has made it a much loved appointment by the city: the first is that it is held at the beginning of spring instead of January 4, to greet the return to normality after the health emergency, the other it is the participation in the concert of a well-known vocal ensemble, the Lyric Choir of Umbria which will intervene with some famous operatic pieces within the traditional symphonic repertoire. On the podium will perform “The New Italian Symphony” of Rome directed by Maestro Salvatore Silivestro in the music of Rossini, Verdi, Chaikovskj, Elgar and the Strauss family. Sergio Briziarelli will lead the Lyric Choir which will conclude its speech with a toast (from Verdi’s “Traviata”) for the return to peace, as well as to health and life. Tickets cost 15 euros (seat and seat in box I, II and III order), 10 euros (seat in box IV and gallery), reduced 8 euros for university students with card. Box office open from 4pm.
