The Formula 1 season has not been good for him so far.
For Lewis Hamilton, the previous season was published miserably. Yes, it wasn’t a start to the season that was worthy of a seven-time world champion: third place in Bahrain, a measly point for tenth at the Saudi Arabian GP – Lewis Hamilton is only lagging behind in the current Formula 1 season, is only in the driver’s world championship in fifth place. There is no race this weekend, next weekend is the Australian Grand Prix.
And so the 37-year-old has a little free time. He spent this – at least partially – in Switzerland. He posted a short video on Instagram, probably taken from his room in the luxury hotel The Dolder Grand in Zurich. To see in this: the snowy landscape. He wrote: “Grateful for this morning snow.”
Hamilton had emotional and mental issues
If you’re wondering why the Brit was in Switzerland at all: Well – Hamilton is a brand ambassador for the Swiss watch brand IWC. And as part of the “Watches and Wonders” exhibition, he chatted this weekend at the “IWC Signature Talk” in Geneva, for example, with nine-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi, who reported from Imola for a conversation. For example, the 37-year-old revealed that he also owns a superbike. “I like to go out on the track with this at the end of the year,” said Hamilton, who was in a good mood and published videos from Dubai again on Sunday.
Most recently, he spoke about his emotional state in a soulful Insta-Post. “It’s been such a tough year so far with everything that’s been happening around us. Some days it’s not easy to stay positive. I’ve struggled mentally and emotionally to keep going, but we just have to keep fighting,” wrote the Brit in an Instagram story. “I’m writing this to make it clear that it’s okay to feel how you feel. I want you to know that no one is alone and that we can get through all of this,” Hamilton added emotionally.
