The first lady of British blues, Bex Marshall, was in Chestnut in Prague
Released 14 hours ago
Chestnut welcomed a blues tornado from Britain, an excellent guitarist and singer, holder of the British Blues Awards, Bex Marshall. Many music connoisseurs and complete laymen who love good music did not miss the great concert of the first lady of British blues. The musician excels in the unique style of her guitar playing, in which she combines sliding slide technique, blues rock, ragtime and roots music.
Her voice is a combination of the vocals of an old troubled black woman and the soulful feeling of a rock star. Bex pushes the boundaries of the blues, her songs have been described by British music critics as “timeless, with occasional touches of genius.” Bex’s concert deployment is then evaluated literally as a “musical tornado”. Her other unofficial nickname is 1st Lady of the British Blus. In 2015, Bex Marshall was nominated (among the top three artists) in the category of “Best Solo Acoustic Artist” at the European Blues Awards. At the British Blues Awards, she received the Best Blues Singer and Blues Album of the Year Award. On Bexa’s latest albums, you’ll find Louisiana blues, legible traces of gospel and bluegrass, all at the pace of an exciting British twist.
Bex Marshall accompanied Martin Gerla on bass and Oliver Szigeti on drums. The certificates of the Czech The Kingsize Boogiemen played an excellent role in the role of forerunners.
