Snow in Pas-de-Calais: the prefecture takes stock of the situation

The State services are carefully examining the evolution of the snowy episode which affects Pas-de-Calais and the North this Friday. A Departmental Operational Center (COD) has been activated at the Pas-de-Calais prefecture since 6 a.m. this Friday morning. Here is the latest information.
The Pas-de-Calais department is placed in orange snow-ice vigilance until 2 p.m. this Friday. The snowfalls affected the department last night and at the start of the morning, in irregular proportions according to the report of the prefecture of Pas-de-Calais. The sectors of Saint-Omer, Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise and Hesdin are the most affected. Traffic difficulties are noted on the Saint-Omer ring road and the RN 42 in Lumbres.
State services are carefully examining the development of the situation. A Departmental Operational Center (COD) has been activated at the Pas-de-Calais prefecture since 6 a.m. this morning. The snow caused numerous power cuts in the sector of Hazebrouck, Aire-sur-la-Lys, Lillers and Saint-Omer. According to Enedis, around 300 streets were without electricity in the arrondissement of Saint-Omer at the end of the morning.
