End of orange vigilance in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais
Météo France removed the Nord and Pas-de-Calais from the list of departments in orange snow and ice vigilance, at midday.
20 territories remain affected by this alert.

In the Audomarois, snow covers the ground. Up to 10 cm of snow fell and continues to fall.
Further south, in the Oise, the snow was falling in large flakes at the start of the morning near Senlis, without however holding on to the road.
Difficulties on the roads in Pas-de-Calais and Seine-Maritime
Sanef reports significant difficulties in several sectors. This is the case on the A150 and A151 north of Rouen and on the A26 in the Saint-Omer region.
On the A26, there are nearly 10 cm of snow.
Saint-Omer: almost 10 cm on the A26
The snow fell quite heavily on the Saint-Omer side. On the A26, there are up to 10 cm of snow this morning on this axis. Traffic is slowed down and heavy goods vehicles stopped on the low side have been observed by BFMTV teams.
Difficulties on the roads of Audomarois
On the side of the Hauts-de-France roads, disturbances are to be reported in the Audomarois, which has recorded the most significant snow accumulations so far.
Slowdowns are to be expected on the side of the RN42 from Boulonnais to Saint-Omer and on the A26.
Lille public transport is operating normally
No disturbances to note this Friday morning on the Ilévia network. In the Lille metropolis, the metros and trams ran empty overnight to allow normal traffic.
On the other hand, on certain bus lines, several lines can be modified.
Hauts-de-France: suspended school transport
The Hauts-de-France region has decided to suspend intercity school bus transport in Pas-de-Calais, Flanders and Pévèle as well as in the Somme, in anticipation of this snowy episode.
Snow in the Lille Metropolis
Snow is also present in the Lille Metropolis. The flakes have been falling since 7 a.m.
If the snow has started to cover the roofs and the cars, it does not hold for the moment on the ground.
The snow sticks to the ground in the Pas-de-Calais
The Pas-de-Calais is particularly affected by this episode of snow, where the flakes have been falling since last night.
The wind also increases, which helps to cool the ground and allows the snow to hold. On account up to 7 to 8 cm on the ground in the Audomarois.
22 departments on orange alert
Météo France has placed 22 departments on snow-ice orange vigilance. This vigilance concerns part of Hauts-de-France and Normandy as well as the central massif, the Pyrenees and the Alps.
