Toulouse: the car parks at the metro terminus will be easily accessible to all vehicles, even in ZFE
The future park and ride with 780 places at the terminus of the Basso Cambo metro line A, in Toulouse, will be accessible to prohibited polluting vehicles, as will the terminus of the Borderouge line B, while they are in the ZFE. Just like the Ramonville and Balma-Gramont terminals, outside the ZFE.
Do you own a vehicle that will soon be banned from circulating inside the Toulouse ZFE (low emission zone)? You have to work there or go there every day and you cannot afford to change vehicles between now and the ban (January 1, 2024 for Crit’air 3, cars and motorcycles or petrol scooters from before 2006 and pre-2011 diesel)?
We have a solution. The terminus of the two metro lines A and B will, in fact, be accessible to all vehicles, even those prohibited from the ZFE. All you have to do is park your prohibited vehicle in one of the four metro terminal park and rides, free of charge if you travel with Tisséo (valid for 24 hours). And take the metro for circular inside the ZFE.
780 places in Basso Cambo in September
Basso Cambo, which is located in the ZFE, will offer 780 spaces thanks to a six-storey silo car park, designed by Azema Architectes, which will be delivered in September. Polluting vehicles will have access to it thanks to an authorized passage on avenue Paul-Ourliac and avenue du Mirail, in the ZFE. This relay park will offer multiple services: shops, 5,000 m2 of offices in the long term, carpooling area, bicycle park with 100 places, around twenty electric charging stations and 16 places for people with reduced mobility. It will provide access to line A of the metro and several bus and Linéo lines, including line 25, which rests Colomiers and the Onocopole, and its cable car for Rangueil and Paul-Sabatier, also put into service at the start of the school year. . At the other end of line A, the Balma-Gramont park and ride, located outside the ZFE, offers the largest metro parking capacity, with 1,522 spaces.
On the line B side, the Borderouge park and ride, also inside the ZFE, will be accessible to all vehicles via the Netwiller-Arthaud axis from the eastern ring road. At the other end of line B, the Ramonville park and ride, on the border of the ZFE, will also be accessible to all vehicles, even the most polluting.
On the other hand, the relay parks of Jolimont, Argoulets or Arènes (line A), too far from the borders of the ZFE, will not be accessible to the most polluting vehicles prohibited from the ZFE.
9,000 spaces in Tisséo car parks
Tisséo recalls that its park and ride facilities offer an overall capacity of 9,000 places. Enough to accommodate as many vehicles of motorists wishing to easily access the urban transport network, metro, tram, cable car (with the 500-seat Oncopole park and ride), bus and Linéo. A good opportunity to use your car less in these times of expensive fuel.
The Tisséo application, on your smartphone, indicates in real time the number of places available in each Tisséo park and ride. And the best routes based on your origin and destination locations.
The future 3rd line, commissioned in 2028, will offer 1,000 spaces in its park and ride facilities at each of the Colomiers-Gare and Labège-La Cadène terminuses. With 500 places at La Vache (replacing the current 400 places closed during works from mid-2023) and 100 places at Les Sept-Deniers.
