DIJON: Wine tasting workshops at the Cité de la Gastronomie from May 6
The Burgundy Wine School offers unique tasting workshops in Dijon. From 20 euros per person.
The International City of Gastronomy and Wine (CIGV) in Dijon opens its doors on May 6, with a culture and training center of 5,000 m2. The School of Burgundy Wines, installed in the main hall of the CIGV, will have 70 m2 dedicated to a unique concept around 4 tasting workshops designed to awaken the five senses. Immersive and innovative, they allow visitors to complete their cultural and gastronomic experience with a multisensory experience of Burgundy wines.
A unique concept in Dijon
Visitors to the Cité de la Gastronomie et du Vin, French and international tourists, locals… these workshops will be accessible to everyone: neophytes or amateurs who want to discover Burgundy wines in a different way, to acquire the first notions of tasting.
The innovation and diversity of the topics selected are the strengths of the 4 workshops. Participants will be immersed in the subject, thanks to images and videos projected on the 4 walls of the room (2.90 m high). They could, for example, find themselves in the heart of a plot before tasting the wine that comes from it, or dive into the fruits and flowers that make up the aromas of this same wine!
Each workshop is organized around a tasting time (3 to 5 wines) and gives the keys to understanding Burgundy wines. To broaden the range of possibilities, “tailor-made” workshops could be created on request for individuals and companies, as well as workshops in English.
Brigitte Houdeline, Director of the School of Burgundy Wines is delighted with these new workshops: “We want to offer visitors an innovative and friendly way to discover Burgundy wines. Workshops where visual, auditory and gustatory immersion intertwine, plunging the participant into a multi-sensory journey to the heart of the vineyard. We wish, by this means, to give the desire to discover and still our magnificent region and the diversity of its wines. »

THE BURGUNDY WINE SCHOOL
Created in 1974 by the Interprofession des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB), the School of Burgundy Wines has acquired real expertise in oenological training and the organization of wine tourism stays. Based in Beaune, capital of Burgundy wines, the School shines throughout the vineyard, thanks to its branches in Mâcon, Dijon and Chablis. Its proximity to the players in the wine industry (wine growers, merchants, but also coopers, restaurateurs, etc.) allows it to enhance the quality of the stays offered, by offering activities throughout the territory. The School introduces you to the whole of Burgundy wine, from Regional appellations to mythical Grands Crus.
