- How to investigate and (not) punish corruption at the Oncology Institute – is the title of a report in the Guardian Newspaper. In the last four years, two doctors working at the Oncology Institute, detained for passive corruption, which the National Anticorruption Center announced were at risk of “up to 10 years in prison”, were subsequently prosecuted under another article of the Criminal Code, which provides for a much milder punishment: a fine or unpaid benefit to the community.
