Andrei Spinu: Road freight transport from the Republic of Moldova will be able to transit Slovakia | PUBLIC .MD
Slovakia has reconfirmed the transit of road freight transport from the Republic of Moldova without permits. The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu.
A few days ago, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development sent several letters to the competent authorities in several countries to offer Moldovan carriers in transit territories without permits. Shortly afterwards, there were some positive responses from Latvia and Hungary.
“The Minister of Transport of Latvia, Talis Linkaits, informed me that between April 1 and June 30, 2022, he will allow the transit of Moldovan freight transport units on the territory of the Latvian state without authorizations and will offer, upon request, our countries or additional quota to at the end of the period mentioned above, “said Andrei Spinu.
Also, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hungarian Minister of Innovation and Technology, László Palkovicsa gave assurances in order to supplement the quota with 1000 EURO 3 transit authorization.
“We are still in talks with the competent authorities in Slovenia, Poland, Estonia and Lithuania to reach similar agreements,” said Andrei Spinu.
