The ODS politician wants 130 million crowns from Prague for the lease of land on which the landfill was located
In the past, Prague built a secure concrete wall so that the landfill in Chuchle would not collapse. At the same time, the city has already taken steps to ensure that there is no rubbish in the area, as was the case four years ago.
ATa year ago, the inhabitants of Sliven and Velké Chuchle were to have a new recreational park on the southwestern edge of Prague. It began to form on a hill created from a former landfill, which the capital is preparing. The planned amphitheater, several playgrounds for children, including off-road tracks for bicycles and a dog playground, are not yet available. The Chuchel representative Pavel Klán (ODS), whose land is part of a landfill, is preventing this.
He lodged an appeal against the reclamation project, which is already co-financed by the European Union. This prevents, in particular, sealing work from being carried out which could cause harmful substances to escape from the landfill. And they also stabilized the whole hill, which stopped loading almost 40 years ago, and there are trees and shrubs on it.
