The Miss Belgium ceremony followed by nearly 500,000 spectators on Sudinfo.be
Saturday evening’s broadcast, live from the Plopsa theater in De Panne, attracted more than 100,000 spectators. The additional videos (candidates interviews, behind the scenes of the ceremony, parades in swimsuits), produced in stride, made more than 300,000 views this weekend.
For those who had not had the opportunity to see all these beauties live, Sudinfo offered a replay formula. Which also had some success with more than 50,000 spectators at the rendezvous. A figure that should increase further in the coming days…
In short, Sudinfo and the 30 finalists of the Miss Belgium competition will have gathered no less than 500,000 internet users/viewers! Not bad at all when you know that the last broadcast of Miss Belgium, live on television on RTL TVi, had 470,000 viewers. That was in 2011. Since then, Miss Belgium’s audiences have been dropping over the years. The broadcast, on the private channel’s website (on RTL Play) had totaled 30,000 live views and 50,000 in replay (delayed) in 2020.
This is the first time that a medium, other than a television channel, has offered a retransmission of a Miss contest on its website. Bet dared, bet won. A performance which further strengthens Sudinfo’s leadership in French-speaking Belgium and which proves that your media is more present than ever on all fronts. Thank you for your loyalty and see you next year!
