Prague – Czech soldiers airlifted an 18-month-old Ukrainian girl from Poland to Prague, who suffered burns on 60 percent of her body. It would not be possible to provide demanding professional care in Ukraine facing the Russian invasion. This is the first transport of such a burned person to the European Union since the beginning of the fighting, the twitter Ministry of Interior. The child received the care of Czech doctors in a critical but stable condition.
The evacuation is carried out as part of the Medevac health and humanitarian program. “Air transport from the nearest Rzeszow at the Ukrainian border was provided by pilots of the Kbel base with a CASA aircraft,” informed army. The soldiers set out for Poland a few hours after the Interior Ministry requested a transfer.
In Ukraine, severely burned girls would not be possible due to the war-intensive care, the interior said. The transfer took place in cooperation with the army and the Czech Embassy in Warsaw, the health care is coordinated by the Ministry of Health with the Royal Vinohrady University Hospital and the General University Hospital in Prague.
