In Prague, Russians living in the Czech Republic are protesting against the war in Ukraine

Prague – An estimated several hundred Russians living in the Czech Republic gathered on Prague’s Peace Square this afternoon to express their opposition to the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. After 13:00, according to a ČTK correspondent, they filled the entire area in front of the Church of St. Ludmila, later they are to set out on a procession through the city center on the Old Town Square. Action called Russians against Putin! organized by the Prague Russian Anti-War Committee.
The participants in the demonstration brought transparent points out that the Russians stand against President Vladimir Putin not only in Moscow or St. Petersburg, but also in the Far East and the Urals. Some have signs in Russian and Czech condemning the Russian attack on a neighboring country. The gathering shows mainly white and blue-white flags symbol of Russian protests against the war, there are also flags of the European Union, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The assembly is supervised by police officers.
The organizers called a protest over Facebook. They said that even Russians living in the Czech Republic must show publicly that they clearly oppose the war. “We are against the Russian aggression with the Czech Republic, Europe and the whole world,” they wrote.
