Body of missing Silvia (24) found in water in Westerpark in Amsterdam
Police divers found the body of the missing Silvia (24) in Amsterdam’s Westerpark this afternoon. She was last seen Saturday night at the funfair in the park.
Rescues brought in by family and friends were hit on the track. Later, the police were alerted and the police divers actually discovered it. Part of the park was cordoned off.
The body then had to be retrieved in a careful manner, and what was really needed was the missing 24-year-old woman. Then her family is a message. It therefore required some time until the police could confirm that it was indeed the woman.
The Spanish Silvia had been living in Amsterdam for four months. Friends put up flyers in the hope that they would get tips about her missing. According to them, her clothes and telephone were found on the bank of a puddle in the Westerpark on Saturday evening.
A police spokesperson said there were no signs of a crime. “A few things have run out just to be sure. It can be used fairly quickly that there are no traces of violence from another crime on her body.”
