The wheel of life: a simple and fun exercise!
Spotlight on the exercise called the wheel of life. It is a very often used coaching tool, especially at the start of a coaching session. It allows you to get an overview of your life at a specific time. You can totally do it on your ownas detailed by Lynda Pause.
The wheel of life: a practical exercise
Its purpose is to get a clear view of what is going on in different parts of your life. You can thus evaluate each area that is important to you at the moment T. To start, all you have to do is list eight areas of life that are important to you. For example, you can choose family, friendships, professional field, hobbies, health, sport or contribution to the world.
If you then follow the precise protocol, you have plenty of tutorials available on the internet. You also have the choice of simply bringing a sheet of paper and a pen to list all the selected domains. Then you just have to give each segment of your life a score from 0 to 10.
0 means you are not at all satisfied and 10 means you are extremely satisfied.
Happiness is balance
Our happiness depends on a multitude of factors. The wheel of life makes it possible to identify the sectors in which you feel lack via the notes that you assign. For example, if you are considering your “leisure” segment at 5/10, you can ask yourself what actions to put in place to go to 6/10.
It is up to you to identify the areas in which you want to invest your time and energy. Those who bring you closer to happiness and balance.
The wheel of life is very easy to make whenever you feel the need. It’s a nice tool to put a black point on white and take a step back.
