Greece celebrates March 25: The big military parade in Syntagma
With the arrival of the commander of the Military School of Guards, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos and the staff who took a stand opposite the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulos, the military parade began in Athens, culminating in the celebrations of the 201st anniversary. For the first time, the recently joined Greek Rafale, the Supermarine SPITFIRE MJ755 aircraft, flew into the Attic sky. The M1117 Guardian armored vehicles supplied by the US Army also paraded, while French Rafale participated for the second year.
During the parade, representative motorized and infantry divisions of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces passed in front of the venue in Syntagma Square, while in the Attic sky, formations of aircraft and helicopters of various types of the Three Branches of the Armed Forces flew.
