Covid versus flu. Britain already supports a turning point, Slovakia is still waiting
For the past two years, the whole world has turned its attention to the coronavirus. That’s why millions were infected and so were the victims. Covid has grown into a pandemic that the world has not experienced since the Spanish flu. The new respiratory disease has even displaced the traditional flu.
At first, many people, such as politicians, compared COVID-19 to the flu. However, already in the autumn, the British alpha also showed in Slovakia that it has much more power. there have been thousands of cases.
More deadly flu
Currently, however, another variant of covidu omicron has brought a milder course of diseases and relative updates of bans in all states. And that brings the discussion back to the beginning. It is again compared to the flu, in some areas it has become the last.
An example is the United Kingdom, which has so far experienced waves rather than Slovakia. “The combination of a high level of immunity and a reduced severity of the variant has made chovid less deadly than the flu for the vast majority of people in England.” reported the British daily Financial Times.
