AS Monaco – Mercato: a deal worth more than €3 million signed on the ASM side!
Although led by the excellent Wissam Ben Yedder and Aurélien Tchouaméni, AS Monaco are having a very average season and currently occupy seventh place in the Ligue 1 standings, nine rounds from the end of the championship.
And if the next summer Mercato already promises to be very eventful for the Principality club, trained by Philippe Clément, a deal worth more than €3 million has already been finalized on the ASM side!
Indeed, unsurprisingly, RC Strasbourg did exercise the purchase option set at around €3.2 million for the final transfer of Jean-Eudes Aholou (28 years old, 1 goal and 1 decisive assist in 17 Ligue 1 matches this season under the orders of Julien Stéphan), who had been recruited against a check for €14m by AS Monaco during the 2018 summer transfer window from the… RCSA!
Information revealed in person by Marc Keller, the president of the Racing Club of Strasbourg Alsace, during an interview granted to Latest News from Alsace : “Aholou’s purchase option was subject to a very small condition which was obviously fulfilled. His loan will therefore turn into a permanent transfer, which was initially planned via this small condition to be fulfilled” .
