Prague has launched another website with information about traffic
In addition to news, it will bring interviews, interesting facts and information about new regulations in all areas of transport. Prague has launched websites before poladprahu.cz on a Sustainable Mobility Concept Plan, and opravujeme.to on traffic restrictions.
“We want Praguers to have one place to go for interesting and readable information about what is going on and going on in transport,” said Deputy Mayor for Transport Adam Scheinherr (Prague Sobě). The texts on the website, rather than the traditional formulas of the city’s press releases, take the form of classic journalistic articles and have the task of bringing behind-the-scenes views and points of interest.
People will find information on current constructions and projects on the website, such as the reconstruction of Barrandovského and other bridges, the construction of metro D, the extension and construction of new tram lines or the renewal of trolleybus traffic. “Attention will also be paid to architecture and transport technologies, which are hidden from the view of passengers. In addition, the website will present various historical moments and anniversaries, “said Hofman.
In the interviews, the new website will focus on interesting professions associated with a representative of Prague transport, such as geology from the construction of metro D, a timetable worker, a bus driver or an employee of the investment department. The website will focus on all types of mobility, ie public transport, car transport, walking and cycling.
