British film actor Orlando Bloom is in the Republic of Moldova. The announcement was made by the actor himself, in a post on Instagram, where he shared photos from a refugee center in our country.
It supports refugee children in Ukraine in collaboration with UNICEF. According to him, “Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, a child has become a refugee almost every second.”
“I’m in Moldova with UNICEF, meeting families who were forced to leave everything behind in search of safety,” Orlando Bloom wrote on Instagram.
He also urged the world to help children suffering from the war in Ukraine.
“Children in Ukraine and abroad need all the help they can get,” he said.
Orlando Bloom starred as Legolas in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, gaining fame through the following appearances in fantasy, historical or fantasy adventure films. His next roles included Legolas in the “Hobbit” trilogy, Will Turner in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, Paris in “Troy” and Balian de Ibelin in “Kingdom of Heaven”.
Later, Bloom established herself as the main character in Hollywood movies. He played Balian de Ibelin in Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven (2005) and Elizabethtown (2005).
She made her professional debut at the Duke of York ‘Theater in London in 2007 and appeared on Broadway in an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet in 2013.
In 2009, Bloom was named UNICEF Ambassador, and in 2015 she received the BAFTA Britannia Humanitarian Award.
