New Icelandic airlines will start flying from Prague to Reykjavík
The line to Iceland will be in operation from 5 May and will be an alternative to the CSA connection, which also flies to Reykjavík. The carrier Play will offer the line twice a week in the summer from May to the end of October, on Thursday press Sunday, the company reports. The prices of return tickets start at 4,500 crowns, in July and August they will be about two thousand higher.
“We are very pleased to be able to add flights to European destinations and our next flight plan. I am convinced that the flights between Prague and Reykjavík will be very. Iceland is becoming increasingly popular, especially among Czech tourists looking for outdoor and nature experiences, “said Birgir Jónsson, CEO of Airlines.
The carrier also wants a connection to the USA with a transfer in Reykjavík. “The flight from Reykjavik to Boston takes only six hours,” Jónsson lures on the routes, which will also be available from spring.
Play Airlines is a newcomer to low cost carriers. They started operating only last July, in the first half of the year transporting over 100,000 people.
The fact that the Nordic country, famous for its dazzling nature, has lifted all travel restrictions also encourages travel to Iceland. This means that a certificate of vaccination, illness or tests is no longer required for entry.
