a collective against the project wants to wake up the Bordeaux metropolis
It is with the aim of triggering a citizen mobilization in the heart of the regional capital that a collective concerned its constitutive meeting, this March 21 at the Athénée de Bordeaux. About fifty people came, activists from Bordeaux en Luttes, Ensemble! and Attac, like members of the anti-LGV associations in the south of the Gironde. A first contact price meeting took place on February 14, with the participation of members of Europe Ecologie Les Verts, La France Insoumise, Greenpeace… In the ranks, we also expect convergences with Trans’Cub and the Sepanso.
The collective wishes to strengthen the fight against the GPSO to promote “everyday transport”, these pendular movements which bring tens of thousands of workers to the metropolis every morning. “The means are not up to the task, we can clearly see this with this sea serpent of the metropolitan RER. However, there are solutions. If we transferred the billions from the GPSO, we would succeed, ”wants to believe Bernard Couturier, who emerges at Together!
To the Administrative Court of Toulouse
The collective received the prompt reinforcement of Denise Cassou, the historic figure of the fight against the high-speed line project in the South Gironde. The spokesperson for the Vigilance LGV Gironde collective castigates the attitude of Jean-Luc Gleyze, the president of the Gironde Departmental Council, who has always proclaimed his refusal of the project. For Denise Cassou, he is now guilty of cultivating ambiguity. “Whatever he says, he participates in the financing of the GPSO”, she accuses, referring to a document presented by the State, which lists the Departmental Council among the contributing communities.
