Rome, here is the celebratory shirt for the derby: the old emblem is back
ROME – Here we are, the capital derby has arrived. And Roma will face him with a very special shirt, the “Derby Kit”: the shirt with classic social colors sees the return of the iconic coat of arms with the Capitoline she-wolf and the monogram “ASR”during a logo that became part of the Roma identity after appearing for the first time on the club’s kits between 1997 and 2013, during which the third Scu, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups were won. And the fans were enthusiastic about the surprise, because especially for some time they had been asking for dI see on the uniform the emblem that represented the club for sixteen years before being replaced by the one wanted by former president Pallotta. First of all he used the old logo in the store products, then he had a meeting with a delegation of fans, and during the first season, the one behind closed doors due to the pandemic, the owners showed up at the Olimpico wearing some masks with the famous logo drawn above.
A significant gesture, a strong message from Friedkin that in their management of the club they want to be close and listen to the fans. But they didn’t stop there, because this season they used the old logo also on the fourth shirt, the blue one, in addition to the famous Gratton turtleneck on the third. He choices that have brought the fans closer to the club, moves that – like that of the signing of Mourinho – I was appreciated by the Romanists who this season have filled the Olimpico in every game.
