City councilors have decided to support primary prevention in major schools. This year, schools from the city will receive a total of 18 million crowns for 240 programs. These are intended to protect children from bullying and other risky behaviors and to promote their mental health.

“That this year we approve of the contribution, which together with the funds of the city I like to use partly using a variety of programs and specialized training of prevention methodologies in schools,” said Councilor for Social Policy and Health Milena Johnová (non-partisan for Prague to himself).
Schools and school facilities receive a contribution in the form of subsidies for the Primary Prevention Program. Thanks to them, teachers and other staff will be able to be educated in the field of primary prevention. There will also be preventive activities to support the mental health of both children and teachers.
