Museumplein in Amsterdam safety risk area for demonstration
The Museumplein in Amsterdam will be designated as a safety risk area on Sunday, the municipality reports on Twitter. A demonstration of United We Stand Europe will take place on the square. There are agreements that persons who unite in the demonstration “are out for disturbances and take weapons”, according to the municipality
The walking route of the parade to and from Museumplein is also a safety risk area. This means that the police may search everyone in the area as a preventive measure. “The measure is intended to ensure a safe and peaceful course of the demonstration for participants and bystanders.” The security risk area applies from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The demonstrations gather at 12:00 on the Museumplein, in their own words for a manifestation for freedom, fundamental rights, physical integrity and health. Later, the activists want to walk a short march “of human connection” in the lines. A year ago the same route against protesters, after a meeting on Museumplein the corona measures.
Since those measures were not complied with, including with water cannons. A large group then started through the city and a part was then closed in by the police on the Leidsekade.
