MAPS. Here are the streets cordoned off for the commemorations of the 10th anniversary of the Merah attacks in Toulouse

This Sunday, March 20, 2022 is held at Toulouse the ceremonies to commemorate the attacks by Mohammed Merah, perpetrated 10 years ago, which killed seven people and sowed terror, between Toulouse and Montauban.
Nearly 2,000 people are invited to these ceremonies organized by the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (Crif). Among them, many personalities, starting with the President of the Republic, Emanuel Macron, his two previous Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog. Many ministers, former ministers, or presidential candidates are also expected in the Pink City.
Ceremonies will begin at 3:00 p.m. Ohr Torah school (formerly Ozar Hatorah) where the two Heads of State lay a wreath. They will then go to the Grain Hall, where the official tribute will be paid to the victims of the attacks.
A thousand police and gendarmes will be deployed
If the official figures on police force deployed were not communicated, a very large device (French, but also expected) is obviously to be expected. According to our information, approximately 1,000 police and gendarmes will be used this Sunday afternoon in the Pink City. Security services will also be there.
As a result, extensive security measures, and travel restrictions, were taken. From 12 p.m., cars and pedestrians are notably prohibited in several perimeters, demonstrations held at a distance. Here’s what you need to know.
Two exclusion perimeters in the city
A safety device, says “exclusion perimeter” is set up in two sectors of toulousearound the places where these commemorations take place: Ohr Torah school and the Grain Hall.
“The inhabitants of the areas concerned are invited to anticipate their movements, adapt their itinerary if necessary and above all to remember to bring a proof of address for any travel in these areas, ”announced the prefecture.
Around the Halle aux Grains
An exclusion perimeter set up:
Sunday March 20 from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (and not 8 p.m. as initially planned) will be adopted on exclusion perimeter around the grain hall, downtown. This corresponds to the red zone in the map below:

In detail, the streets concerned by this perimeter are the following roads:
- rue du Pont Montaudran (until the crossing of Port Saint-Etienne),
- rue du Pont Guilhermy (until the crossing of Port Saint-Etienne),
- Charity Street,
- Place Dupuy,
- lion brothers street,
- garden street,
- rue des Potiers (until the crossing of rue des Jardins),
- rue Pierre-Paul Riquet (to the intersection of rue de l’Etoile),
- rue Antoine Idrac (to the crossing of rue Delacroix).
Parking, pedestrian traffic:
Within this perimeter, the movement of pedestrians and vehicles is prohibited, except for accredited persons, local residents carrying a official proof and persons justifying a compelling reason.
He will be no parking within this perimeter from Saturday March 19 at 8 p.m. to Sunday March 20 at 8:30 p.m. The terraces exterior shops within this perimeter must be closed on March 20, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The station of Metro “Francois Verdier” Stay served, but the “rue des Frères Lion” exit will be closed.
The protection perimeter at the Halle aux Grains:
UN protection perimeter, encompassing the exclusion perimeter, is also set up from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Halle aux Grains sector. In the orange area below, pedestrian and vehicle checks could be carried out.

Around Ohr Torah School
An exclusion perimeter set up:
The same type of “exclusion perimeter”, with the same type of restrictions, is imposed this Sunday, March 20, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., around the Ohr Torah school. This corresponds to the red zone in the map below:

- hyacinth street,
- rue Jules Dalou,
- rue Capefigue (until the crossing of rue Bourbotte),
- rue Fontenay (until the crossing of rue de Giroussens),
- rue d’Agen,
- avenue de Lavaur (until the intersection of rue des Bleuets),
- avenue Joseph Le Brix (until the intersection of rue du Panorama),
- chemin Michoun (until the intersection of rue des Archives),
- rue du Reservoir (until the crossing of rue des Archives),
- rue Sainte-Hélène (to the intersection of rue Rossignol),
- rue Jules Lemaitre (until the crossing of rue Rossignol),
- rue Dieu (until the crossing of rue Rossignol).
Pedestrians and vehicles prohibited, diverted bus line:
From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., thepedestrian and vehicular traffic is also prohibited within this perimeter except for accredited authorized persons, local residents carrying a supporting officerl and persons justifying a compelling reason.
It is prohibited stationery here also from Saturday March 19 at 8 p.m. to Sunday March 20 at 6 p.m.
The route of bus line 36, which takes the avenue de Lavaur, is diverted.
The perimeter of protection:

Gatherings and demonstrations prohibited
The gatherings and the demonstrations are prohibited on Sunday March 20, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Halle aux Grains sector, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Ohr Torah school sector.
The prefecture of Haute-Garonne also specifies that in these sectors, “the port, transport and use of fireworks, firecrackers, real or dummy weapons, and any other object that may constitute a armed. The circulation in these perimeters of dangerous animals is prohibited. The transport of fuel or any other flammable liquid in a container is prohibited within this same perimeter”.
