S04 sports director Rouven Schröder was satisfied with the extension of Terodde’s contract, which is one of the top performers in the Schalke squad. “Simon showed from the start how important he is for FC Schalke 04. That doesn’t just apply to his performance on the pitch, but also to his progress in the dressing room. He’s a very important part of our team. That’s why we are very happy that Simon will continue to play with us beyond the season,” Schröder is quoted as saying in the club announcement.
Terodde was also happy: “I have already emphasized that I would like to play for the club longer. Schalke 04 is a special club. I am therefore very pleased that my contract has now been extended. I have big plans for the team – We’re still a long way from reaching our goal,” said the attacker, who has already scored 19 goals this season and is the top scorer in Bundesliga 2.
