The average Amsterdammer has never set foot in the market hall at the Amsterdam Food Center. Not surprising, because for the past eighty years the market hall was only accessible to wholesalers and after that it stood empty for years. The brewery is almost coming to life and the hall is already open to the public when there is an event. The renovation should be completed in 2024 and there will be room for more than 100 entrepreneurs in the fields of food, fashion, music and theater, among other things.
