Denmark has introduced border control – Radical Left will lock hundreds of illegals on to Norway – Human Rights Service
The Danish government is clear that Denmark cannot be used as a transit country by illegal migrants who want to move on via Denmark to Norway and Sweden. It seems the Radical Left in Denmark is reprehensible – because it is a pity for the illegal migrants.
On a daily basis, Denmark rejects undocumented Ukraine refugees originating outside Europe at the borders between Denmark and Germany. They do not want to seek asylum in Denmark, but want to move on to Norway and Sweden. – We must facilitate that Denmark can be a transit country, says Radikale Venstre, and thus illustrates the urgent need for Norway to introduce border control.
– We must have control over who enters Norway. Therefore, we should introduce border control, so immigration and integration policy spokesman Erlend Wiborg in the Progress Party (Frp) to VG Wednesday.
And he is finally right. While real refugees from Ukraine are making a wave across Europe, there is little doubt that illegal migrants will take advantage of the situation to go to European welfare states themselves, and they have themselves designated the countries they have at the top of the impact. . Among these countries is Norway.
Chaos
The Ukrainian refugees are many, and situations are very confusing. It is precisely the chaos that makes European countries vulnerable to illegal migration, and it is particularly vulnerable if border controls are too poor.
– It is a chaotic situation with millions of people on the run in Europe, as we must ensure control while helping. Norway must stand up and we must help as many Ukrainians as possible, but we are not helping Ukrainians to assist criminals who are taking advantage of the situation. On the contrary, Wiborg said on Wednesday.
Denmark has introduced border controls to have an overview of the chaos. Our southern neighbor has a pronounced desire to help Ukrainians, but at the same time keep control of who takes over the borders. Therefore, hundreds of alleged Ukrainian refugees are also rejected. They meet – or at least must meet the intention of the law – Danish return policy.
Because if a refugee from Ukraine does not have the paperwork in order and does not want to apply for asylum or an emergency visa in Denmark, they can not travel across the Danish border – not even if their plan is to travel on to one of the other Nordic countries.
Refugees who have a residence permit in Ukraine, but are citizens of a country outside the EU, also send back to Germany, writes Danish DR.
Too bad for them
However, not everyone is the only one in either the rejection of illegal migrants at the border or the only one in the wording of the Danish special law that must ensure that refugees from Ukraine can get a residence permit so that they can start work, education or school more quickly.
DR states that the special law is as follows, with the South and Southern Jutland Police as source:
- Ukrainian citizens with biometric passports can travel freely in Denmark.
- Children who are accompanied by parents with a biometric passport can also enter, even if the child does not have their own biometric passport.
- A biometric passport has a piece of information from which a person can be identified.
- Ukrainian citizens without a valid passport have the opportunity to apply for an emergency passport or asylum.
- If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU – also called a third country – and do not want to seek asylum, you can not travel into Denmark.
The special law thus does not take into account that people can not present proof that they are Ukrainians, and are clear that Denmark can not be used as a transit country by illegals who want to move on via Denmark to Norway and Sweden. It seems the Radical Left in Denmark is reprehensible because it is a pity for the illegal migrants.
– It is completely untenable that we have so far rejected hundreds of people at the border. We think that it must be possible to travel through Denmark to get to Sweden and Norway if you can document that someone accepts you, says the party’s immigration and integration spokesperson, Kathrine Olldag to DR.
The RV politician therefore believes in all seriousness that illegal migrants must be channeled on to Norway and Sweden, simply because they themselves ask for it. Because it is the illegal migrants we are talking about, there is no doubt left by DR, which emphasizes that the special law must «include Ukrainian citizens and persons with refugee status in Ukraine. In addition, it must also include ‘accompanying nuclear family and other family members who are supported in the same household’. The proposal for the new special law does not cover persons with citizenship of a country outside the EU – unless you are related to a Ukrainian citizen. “
Do not understand the security aspect
The obvious thing about RV’s concern for the illegal migrants is that the party is unable to understand the security aspect that is embedded in the special law. It is not the case that everyone who wants to go to Europe has good intentions, nor is it sensible or economically sustainable to facilitate illegal migration from MENA countries.
The security aspect, on the other hand, concerns Denmark’s Minister of Immigration and Integration Mattias Tesfaye (S), who, like FRP’s Erlend Wiborg, points out how important it is for Scandinavian countries to have control over who and how many people enter the countries. He also does not want to open up the possibility that Denmark should be a transit country for migrants who have Norway and Sweden as desired destinations.
– I agree that we are in a serious situation. And that is precisely why I believe that one should not just be able to travel through Europe without being registered and documenting who one is. I also have a responsibility for Denmark’s security, he says to DR.
– We must be careful not to provide free settlement in the rest of Europe. If you do not think you can travel to your home country because you may feel persecuted, you are welcome to seek asylum in the first country you come to, Mattias Tesfaye continues.
Knowing that Ukrainians will do everything in their power to provide evidence that they are in fact Ukrainians, border controls should definitely be introduced in Norway as well. Experience from 2015 indicates that real refugees provide correct information, while illegals who exploit the crises of others do their part to mislead about their own origins.
“Unfortunately, many people will cynically take advantage of the war in Ukraine, and in previous crises we have been warned by, among others, PST that terrorists can interfere among the refugees,” Wiborg told VG on Wednesday.
It is crucial that Europe stands united in the critical situation that the war in Ukraine has triggered, and does not allow the “pity of all” people to give illegal migrants unnecessary incentive to travel. Norway should soon introduce the border control that both Sweden and Denmark have in place, unless the country has to end up housing free passengers who exploit other people’s suffering for their own gain.
