Two new High Councilors of the European Union have joined the Mission in the Republic of Moldova and started their activity. The announcement was made today, March 15, by the European Union High Level Advisory Mission to Moldova.
According to the Mission, the two new European advisers will work in the field of European diplomatic affairs and the coordination of reforms, respectively.

Jan Tombinski will work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. He is a career diplomat. He was previously Head of the EU Holy See / UN Delegation, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Poland to the EU, Ambassador of Poland to France and also held several leadership positions in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Tombinski will assist the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in strengthening internal coordination mechanisms, supporting the strengthening of a proactive approach in promoting Moldova’s foreign policy priorities in European and international arena. The High Level Adviser will help increase the efficiency of the diplomatic service, further strengthen Moldova’s external relations and promote the partnership with the EU.
Dragoș Ciuparu will advise Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița. Ciuparu’s most recent position was that of Secretary of State in the Romanian Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization. Previously, he held several positions in the academic sector, as an advisor in the Romanian Presidential Administration and also as international missions in Kosovo and Moldova. The Ciuparu mission will provide strategic advice to the Prime Minister on planning, developing and coordinating policies, strengthening the capacity of the central government to carry out reforms and monitor their implementation, in order to improve the quality of its governance and advance the European integration process.
