Rector Tomaso Montanari: “We will set up a Ukrainian language course”
“We will set up a Ukrainian language course. We already teach the Russian language. We will do the same with the Ukrainian language. The rector of the University for Foreigners of Siena Tomaso Montanari said today on the sidelines of the open day that took place in the university which has its headquarters in Piazza Fratelli Rosselli. An open day that was very attended, with 220 high school students (some in attendance and others remotely) who took part in the initiative which thanks to they were able to learn about the study courses and also the classrooms, laboratories and Unistrasi library.
Montanari spoke again of the Russian invasion of Ukraine: “We do not interrupt relations with the Russian universities and scientific communities. Universities are not the government. We will help Russian students who are enrolled in our university and who encounter financial difficulties. ready We are hosting Russian teachers who were in contrast with Vladimir Putin’s policy ”.
