He didn’t get to the car anymore, because criminalists were waiting for him on the street and the men were detained on the spot. “A search of his vehicle found a firearm and means of camouflage,” said police spokeswoman Violeta Siřišťová. The second robber, a 37-year-old man, tried to evaluate the money on a slot machine in Prague 5.
“Both dangerous perpetrators were transferred to the police service, where criminal investigators found out about past recidivism. The older of them has served many prison sentences in the past for similar crimes. The younger of the couple is not far behind, his criminal record records twenty-seven sentences for property crime, “said Siřišťová.
The robbers caused damage in the amount of 250 crowns. The men have confessed to a series of robberies, are now in custody and face up to ten years in the base.
