Prague – The German metal band Rammstein will perform in Prague again after about three years. Her concert will take place on May 15 and 16 at Letňany Airport and will feature songs from her latest album called Zeit, which she will release on April 29. The band presented their eighth record with the single of the same name, which was created at the La Fabrique studio in France. Tereza Burdová informed ČTK about this on behalf of Universal Music.
“In Zeit’s song about the mortality and transience of the moment, happiness and life, singer Till Lindemann begs his baritone to stand still for a while,” Burd said. In addition to the composition Zeit video clip, directed by Robert Gwisdek. Since its premiere on March 10, it has received 5.5 million views.
The popular and controversial band of Till Lindemann, Paul Landers, Richard Z. Kruspe, Flake, Oliver Riedel and Christoph Schneider worked on 11 songs for two years with producer Olsen Involtini. The album itself also received an interesting cover-up visual, photographed by Canadian musician and photographer Bryan Adams on the steps of the Trudelturm memorial in Berlin’s Adlershof.
The Rammstein band last performed in Prague in July 2019 at the football stadium in Eden in Vršovice. She returned to Prague two years after the previous two concerts at the same place. The group, led by the main author of the lyrics, singer Till Lindemann, the son of the poet and writer Werner Lindemann, enjoys not only loud music but also pyrotechnic and light effects.
Rammstein was founded in 1994 by musicians from the eastern part of Germany. The band’s name is reminiscent of the city of Ramstein, where the United States Air Force headquarters and headquarters are located in Europe and where dozens of people died during an air show in the late 1980s. The band has grown its debut album Herzeleid from 1995. The singles Du riechst so gut, Asche zu asche and Rammstein come from the album and are still part of its concert repertoire. There is a lot of interest in the German band in the Czech Republic. When some domestic cinemas recently launched the Rammstein in Amerika project, they had to add more performances to meet fan demand.
