Refugees from Ukraine: only 3,000 registered in and around Prague on Sunday
On Sunday, the regional assistance centers in Ukraine, diluted by the Central Bohemian Region, experienced quieter operation than in previous days. From KAPCU, where people fleeing the horrors of war in their country can register and a number of other essentials related to their stay (and possibly get accommodation) remains the busiest workplace in the metropolis, where the Prague Congress Center and the Central Bohemian Region .

During Sunday, according to Monday’s data from Prague firefighters, 2471 refugees passed through it, while 249 needed to provide accommodation; 175 of them received beds in emergency accommodation – mostly in gyms. Already on Sunday evening, Prague firefighters reported that they had placed 60 people in Modřany, the city district of Prague 8 received 45 people, took the same number of firefighters to Třebonice on the western island of the capital – and Prague 9 granted asylum 25. The transport of refugees for check-in continued regions: buses took 240 of them out of Prague during Sunday.
On Sunday, 2,471 people were checked in from Prague, and accommodation was provided for 249 people, of which 175 were in emergency accommodation. 240 people were transported by bus to other regions.
From the beginning, a total of 33096 people were handled at the Ukraine Help Center in Prague.

In the Central Bohemian regions, KACPU was the busiest in Příbram on Sunday, with 206 refugees. There were 201 people in Kutná Hora and 130 people in Mladá Mladá Boleslav. Accommodation was provided by these three centers for a total of 139 people.

Both in Prague and at the assistance centers operating in Central Bohemian cities, the supply of ready-made accommodation options is becoming thinner. For the time being, setting up emergency beds in gyms seems to be the solution. The representatives of the regions are negotiating with the government about a longer-term solution. Although there have been fewer refugees registered in recent days (there were thousands on Sunday in the entire metropolitan region, but only a few days earlier 3.6 thousand people passed in 24 hours in the center in Prague alone) – but it is expected to increase Proportion of those who come without a background and will need to take care of them overnight.

So far, 33,096 refugees have been processed at the KACPU in Prague since the start of operations until midnight on Sunday. The Trinity Center, which still operates in Central Bohemian towns, assisted a total of 10,440 refugees.
