local flowers sold in a truck driving around Toulouse
Clémence Denjean believes in the powers of flowers. Since May 2021, it has been offering bouquets in a “Flower Truck”, a khaki Mercedes truck that runs in different markets in Toulouse. She is every Tuesday at Place du Salin, Thursdays at Place Saint Sernin and Saturdays at Arnaud Bernard.
Retraining
Clémence Denjean spent ten years in ready-to-wear before passing a CAP, in 2019, and doing internships to become a florist. “Creating beautiful bouquets can be learned, but the entrepreneurial hat is quite complicated. But I wanted to return to a profession”, she confides. She got the idea for this truck after a trip to Copenhagen. The one she found quite a few miles away and belonged to a fishmonger. “We have fitted it of course, so that the flowers do not fall when we drive, but the awning is very practical!”
Clémence Denjean wants to offer local flowers: “Producers, especially on the Gragnague side, are getting started and we also have a shipment of French production at the MIN (market of national interest, in Toulouse, editor’s note)“.
