China Southern operates the world’s first passenger Airbus A319neo flight
The Airbus A319neo has not proven to be as popular as its larger counterparts, which is why it has subsequently flown somewhat under the radar. Nonetheless, it made headlines this week as China Southern Airlines operated it the first passenger service on that type. The jet flew from Guangzhou to Chengdu under the name CZ3403.
Mask’s mandate extended for U.S. flights in the second month until April 18th
The United States has once again extended its mandate to ensure that passengers continue to use face shields on commercial aircraft in the country. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which originally expires on March 18, has decided to keep it in place for at least another month. For more information here.

Southwest Airlines will transfer Herb Retro paint to the Boeing 737 MAX
The Boeing 737 MAX Series is playing an increasingly important role in Southwest Airlines ’operations. Therefore, the carrier has chosen transfer its retro-golden and red coloring 737-700 to MAX 8. This is because the inexpensive giant will retire both the 737-700 models with these colors in honor of founder Herb Kelleher.

International Women’s Day: 5 airlines partner with Viasat to raise awareness of gender equality
