FC Famalicão thrashes Racing Power FC for the Portuguese Cup
Minho starting for the semi-finals of the competition.
FC Famalicão received, this Sunday, Racing Power FC, in a game referring to the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup. The Minho team beat the Seixal team by 4-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.
The home space started better in the match and gave little to the visiting team. At six minutes, Mariana Capino made the first warning of the match, however, with a header, he failed to open the scoring.
Seven minutes later, Ana Capeta did not make it easy and made it 1-0 in the match, after an unfortunate decision by the opposing team’s goalkeeper. However, the Minho advantage was short-lived and Racing Power FC reached 1-1, through a Thai hat.
Before the break, Ana Capeta scored again and, following a corner kick, the Famalicense player made it 2-1. The result did not change until the end of the first half.
In the second part of the match, the home team made it 3-1, with a goal scored by Raquel Fernandes. Served by Ana Capeta, the number 33 shirt did not waver and kicked into the back of the Seixal team’s goal. In the final stretch of the match, Paty increased the difference on the poster and sealed the final result at 4-1.
With this triumph, FC Famalicão qualified for the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup. The next game of the Famalicenses is scheduled for next Saturday, the 19th, against SCU Torrense. The duel, counting for the BPI League, starts at 13:00.
