The new Řásnovka kindergarten will welcome the first preschoolers. Prague 1 completely renovated it
Řásnovka 2 Kindergarten is a detached workplace of a national kindergarten, which therefore focuses mainly on early care, for children from the age of two. “AGAINSTIn all our kindergartens we work with the program “From fairy tales to legends”, which is focused on learning about history, culture and tradition in the seat of the school, in the heart of Prague. Through fairy tales, legends and legends and targeted walks, children gain knowledge about the life of our ancestors and current events, “says the kindergarten director. “Kindergarten Řásnovka 2 for children from 2 to 3 years of age focuses primarily on the experience of the game, which is an essential activity of the day,” he adds.
The kindergarten is located in the legendary Řásnovka Street, which is especially famous for its books by Jaroslav Foglar. Its other advantage is a large garden. However, the kindergarten had outdated equipment and the technical condition of the entire building was not good. Therefore, in recent months, it has undergone a complete renovation.
In the attic part, the air conditioning and gas water distribution systems were primarily modified. On the second floor of the kindergarten, an old unused laundry was rebuilt dining room connected to the outdoor terrace, which children will be able to use in nice weather. The layout of the individual rooms on this floor also changed – one large teaching room was divided into two and another bathroom was created. Thanks to this, the capacity of the kindergarten could be increased by another two classes.
Salt Cave
A salt cave was also newly established in the kindergarten. This plan has previously been criticized by the opposition Green Party. At the time when Prague 1 was led by a coalition led by Pavel Čižinský (Prague Sobě), the project was suspended by the then Deputy Mayor for Education, Pavel Nazarský (Pirates), due to redundancy.
“I dealt with the planned construction modifications in the Řásnovka kindergarten as deputy mayor for education immediately after taking office in 2019. There were several meetings with the architect, head of the education department, head of the investment department, kindergarten management and teachers. We agreed that the intended investment in the Salt Cave is superfluous for the operation of the kindergarten“Nazarsky said. However, after the change of management, the current deputy mayor for education, Eva Špačková (ODS), returned to the project asthe alive cave eventually formed.
“I have to thank everyone who gets involved in the project. I am really excited about the result and I hope that the local children are also less happy. I must also thank my parents for their patience during the renovationbecause the construction involved obstacles that appeared only during the reconstruction, “said Špačková.
New garden
Weather permitting, the nursery garden will be arranged. Game elements will also be restored. Children will find a number of new attractions here, including a garden pavilion. All this will be complemented by other small elements, mesuch as an eco corner, a fogger or, for example, a drinking fountain. There will also be popular sandpits and flower beds.
