Refugee children from Ukraine, integrated in Orhei educational institutions
The first 29 refugee children in Ukraine have started attending schools and kindergartens in Orhei district, Moldova, and their number could increase, given that more than 150 refugee children are already registered in the district, TRM reports. . open.md.

“29 students started attending school, another 33 still do not go to school because there are places where schools do not have a Russian language teaching program.”.

“At the gymnasium in Ivancea, two students are already enrolled in the 5th and 6th grades. In the Ivancea gymnasium, the Ukrainian language is studied from the first grade to the ninth grade“, Says Natalia Iachimciuc, the director of the gymnasium.
Children are also expected to attend extracurricular activities.
“A 13-year-old girl is already attending the painting school in Orhei. He fit in very well with the team. We communicate in Russian. He studies painting, composition, drawing. The teachers bought him everything he needed for the specifics of the school of painting and fine arts. We can help her with that“, Says Victoria Grăjdianu, director of the painting school in Orhei.
There are already more than 160 refugee children in Ukraine in Orhei district, a third of whom are of school age.
