Moderate ODIK pops in Amsterdam | Barneveld newspaper
BARNEVELD ODIK failed to capture the first points of the indoor season in Amsterdam. Fusion club AW.DTV was too strong for the Barneveld korfball players in a mediocre match with 20-17, who will finish fourth in the group due to the defeat in the group.
In the moderately filled Sporthal Zeeburgereiland, ODIK stayed in the footsteps of the home club for a long time. The sick club top scorer Milko van Golberdinge was forced to be replaced for fifteen minutes, but was replaced excellently by Maarten Snoek. In the latter part of the first half, AW.DTV took their distance-9 ODIK went into half-time trailing 12. In the second half, ODIK managed to come back to 1 point, but an arbitral miss prevented this goal. At a 19-15 score, a resilient ODIK with debutant Sarah Lam in the squad still came back to two points, but it didn’t get really exciting anymore: 20-17.
Trainer Ruud van de Hoef: “It was a battle of attrition and a very mediocre game from both. Especially before half time we had a lot of passing errors and a low shot percentage, we played a bit too hasty. In terms of mentality, however, there was nothing to criticize about my team and in fact it is also a good observation that we can make a stable main division difficult, even when we are playing”.
On Saturday, ODIK will play against TOP in Arnemuiden.
ODIK GOALS: Maarten Snoei 4, Melle Smit 3, Bart Evers 3, Cees Snoei 2, Joyce van de Hoogen 2, Brandien van de Fliert 2, Liesbeth Bouter 1.
