Health – Hanover – Infections: Corona numbers in Lower Saxony are increasing – health
Hanover/Bremen (dpa/lni) – The key figures for the corona infection process in Lower Saxony are increasing. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence on Saturday was 1372.3 after 1319 on Friday. The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants contracted the virus within a week. With 22,067 confirmed new cases, the total number of confirmed corona infections increases to 1,251,823. 12 new deaths related to the pandemic were recorded. The Grafschaft Bentheim district continues to have the highest incidence with 2232.2. The district of Helmstedt has the lowest value with 642.5.
The hospitalization incidence also rose somewhat – from 12.1 p.m. Friday to 12.5 p.m. Saturday. This value describes the number of new patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 people within a week. There may also be people with a positive corona test who are in the hospital because of other illnesses. The utilization of the intensive care units with Covid 19 patients increases from 5.6 to 6.0.
In Bremen, according to the RKI, the seven-day incidence of new infections on Saturday was 882.0 after 839.8 on Friday. In connection with Corona, there was another death in the smallest federal state.
