Radou hl. The intention of a public contract for the reconstruction of Pavilion B of the Higher Vocational School of Social Law – Jahodovka was approved today.
The financing will be paid from the Prague budget in the expected amount of less than 19 million crowns.
“With this planned investment project, we are based on the need to expand the capacity for teaching, which is mainly determined by demographic development and school requirements. In connection with this, the building will also be insulated, which will reduce overall energy consumption and thus lead to significant savings, ”said Vít Šimral, Prague’s councilor for education.
The intention of the public contract is the reconstruction of the existing building in Záběhlice for teaching purposes, part of the project is, for example, an extension of the elevator, which will provide barrier-free access to the entire building, and the construction of new sanitary facilities on the ground floor and second floor.
The plan is also to insulate the entire facade of the building, which will have a major impact on reducing the balance of energy consumption, or the creation of parking spaces for 9 vehicles. The distribution of plumbing, electrical installation or heating will also be renewed, and new tread layers will also be made on the floors. The tender is expected to start in March, and the actual implementation should take place during this year.
“Prague 10 has been investing tens of millions of crowns in its educational infrastructure in the last two years. Thanks to a temporary property tax, we were able to invest almost 150 million crowns in the repair and expansion of school buildings. We need to approach the approaching emergence of strong years, for which to respond clearly the existing capacity in educational institutions. Demographic development is relentless and the future shortage of places concerns all education, from kindergartens to primary school, which our city district is in charge of, ”added Jana Komrsková, First Deputy Mayor of Prague 10.
